Sales Return, Replacement, and Warranty Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Return and Replacement Policy
1.1 Eligibility for Replacement
- Returns are accepted within seven (7) days from the date of purchase or delivery.
- The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and must include all accessories and manuals.
- Proof of purchase (official receipt or invoice) is required.
- Custom or special-order items are not eligible for return.
1.2 Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
(Based on the Consumer Act of the Philippines – RA 7394)
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Items damaged due to misuse, mishandling, or unauthorized repairs.
- Items with tampered warranty seals.
- Consumable items such as adhesives, lubricants, and batteries.
- Items explicitly marked as final sale.
- Returns due to change of mind.
- Shipping and handling charges.
- Complaints based on price differences from other stores.
1.3 Return Process
- Customers must notify Buildmate Customer Service before returning any item.
- Customers are required to provide photo or video proof.
- Items must be brought to the store or shipped back at the customer’s expense.
- Upon inspection and approval, a replacement unit will be provided.
If the exact item is unavailable, store credit or an alternative product of equal value will be offered.
2. Warranty Policy
2.1 Warranty Coverage
- The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by external factors.
- Warranty periods vary by brand and product category.
- Customers must retain their proof of purchase to avail of warranty services.
2.2 Warranty Process
- Customers must contact Buildmate Customer Service with a detailed issue description and proof of purchase.
- If the product brand has a nearby service center, the customer may proceed directly there for faster warranty processing.
- Products must be brought either to a Buildmate branch or the brand’s service center, at the customer’s expense.
- For products brought to Buildmate, please allow time for supplier delivery and unit inspection.
- If repair involves charges, Buildmate will inform the customer prior to any service.
- If the defect is covered under warranty, the brand supplier will repair the item at no cost to the customer.
- If the product is no longer available, store credit may be issued at the discretion of the brand and Buildmate.
2.3 Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Damage from misuse, improper installation, modifications, or external factors.
- Normal wear and tear of consumable parts.
- Unauthorized repairs or tampering.
- Claims made after the brand’s specified warranty period.
3. Additional Terms
- Buildmate reserves the right to inspect and verify all returned, replaced, or warranty-claimed items before approval.
- Policies are subject to change without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
